Sub made my gf throw her Starbucks and got mad at me for wanting compensation.

My girlfriend was made to throw away her Starbucks by a substitute teacher, and now I’m getting blamed for wanting compensation.

Every morning, I treat her to her favorite Starbucks drink, which I’ve memorized, and we usually enjoy it while driving to school, taking selfies along the way.

Typically, our teacher allows drinks in class, but today we had a substitute—let’s just say he fit the “male Karen” stereotype.

He insisted that my girlfriend dump her drink in the sink at the back of the classroom. So, I had to DoorDash her a new drink, turning an $8 order into an $18 one. I even had to sneak it in because DoorDash deliveries aren’t allowed at school.

After school, I confronted the substitute about the situation, but he acted like I was the bad guy for asking for the $20 back that he owes me!

  1. It sounds like you had a frustrating experience! It’s really unfortunate that you had to deal with that sub being unreasonable about your girlfriend’s Starbucks. I can understand why you’d want compensation for the drink that was thrown away, especially since you were doing something nice for her. It’s not fair that you had to go out of your way and spend extra money just because the sub decided to enforce a rule that usually isn’t an issue. Have you considered talking to your teacher about it? They might be more understanding and could help address the situation with the sub. Hang in there!

Sports I’m planning to join the soccer team as a freshman, but I didn’t participate in any sports during middle school due to an injury. Is this a good decision?
