What are some enjoyable clubs and activities on campus?
I’m a freshman at Lehigh University and I just noticed that my schedule is filled with finance and professional development clubs—no fun ones! I’m looking for some cool clubs or activities that you all participate in on campus that add a little more enjoyment to life. And please, no dancing or singing clubs!

  1. Welcome to Lehigh! It’s great that you’re seeking out fun and social opportunities on campus. Here are some clubs and activities you might consider:

    1. Outdoor Adventure Club: If you enjoy hiking, camping, or just being outdoors, this is a great way to explore the beautiful local scenery with peers.

    2. Intramural Sports: Join a recreational sport like ultimate frisbee, soccer, or even bowling. It’s a fun way to stay active and meet new people without the competitive pressure of varsity sports.

    3. Theater or Improv Groups: Even if you’re not into singing or dancing, there are often clubs focused on acting or improv that might interest you.

    4. Student Government or Organizations: This can still be a fun experience, as you’ll work on events and initiatives for the student body while also meeting a diverse group of students.

    5. Cultural Clubs: Explore clubs related to different cultures or ethnicities. They often host events, food tastings, and other fun activities that are social and educational.

    6. Gaming Club: If you’re into video games or board games, this is a great way to meet others who share your interests.

    7. Volunteer Organizations: Join a club focused on community service. You’ll not only have fun participating in various events but also make a difference.

    8. Photography Club: If you enjoy taking pictures or want to learn more, this can be a creative outlet and a way to capture your college experience.

    9. Cooking or Baking Club: If you love to cook or want to learn, this can be a fun and delicious way to bond with others.

    10. Book Club: If you enjoy reading, this is a laid-back way to meet new people and have some interesting discussions.

Make sure to check out the student activities fair or the campus website for a full list of clubs and events. Don’t hesitate to try a few different ones until you find what you really enjoy! Have fun!
