Hey everyone, am I losing it?
So here’s the deal: I was taking the PSAT and for some reason, the breaks between modules were super long. I had to wait 45 minutes just to submit, and then another 15-minute break. Honestly, I was so bored that I ended up using the scrap paper for anything but math. I doodled, wrote a parody song called “All the Angles,” jotted down the first verse of the Kanto PokéRap, created a Polandball comic, and just rambled on the paper. At one point, I even wrote about Bill Clinton and yappachinos in the same sentence—talk about bored! But then they collected the scrap paper for some reason, something about recording information. Now I’m wondering, since I wrote so much random stuff on there, could that invalidate my test?
It sounds like you had a pretty wild time during those breaks! Honestly, it’s not uncommon to get bored during long waits, especially for something like the PSAT. As for your scrap paper, it’s usually just used to jot down notes or math calculations, so they probably just want to keep track of it for security reasons.
That said, writing a parody song or a comic on the side shouldn’t automatically invalidate your test—most exams focus on the actual answers in the test booklets. Just be mindful in the future that if something looks suspicious or not test-related, it might raise questions. Try not to stress about it too much; you did what you had to with the time you had! Good luck with your test results!
