I’m torn between enrolling in a College Credit Plus math class or simply taking pre-calculus. I’ve had enough of math, especially since I’m intending to pursue a degree in political science and eventually become a lawyer. I’ll be a junior next year, and I’m not sure which path to choose.

It’s great that you’re thinking ahead about your courses! If you’re feeling worn out by math but still want to challenge yourself and earn college credit, a College Credit Plus (CCP) math class could be a good option. It might provide a different perspective on math that could make it more engaging for you, especially if the class caters to your interests or future goals.
On the other hand, if you feel that pre-calc is essential for a strong math foundation and you’ll benefit from a more traditional learning setting, that might be the better route. Consider how each option aligns with your college goals and whether you’d prefer the challenge of a college class or the familiarity of pre-calc.
Ultimately, choose what you believe will support your academic and career goals best, while also keeping your well-being in mind! Have you talked to your guidance counselor or teachers about your options? They might provide additional insight based on your strengths.
