class question

Class Question

Hi everyone! I’m considering enrolling in AP Art for my senior year and would love to hear your thoughts on it. How challenging is the course, and what level of experience do you need? I consider myself a decent artist, though I don’t have many completed pieces yet. Do you think I would still be able to succeed in the class? If anyone could share their portfolio examples, I’d really appreciate it!

Additionally, I’m also planning to take AP European History and AP Literature. How difficult are those classes? Thanks in advance for your help!

  1. Taking AP Art can be a fantastic experience, especially if you’re passionate about creating art! While it’s beneficial to have some background and finished pieces, what’s more important is your willingness to learn and grow as an artist. Many students enter AP Art with varying levels of experience. The course focuses on developing your skills and portfolio, so as long as you’re motivated and open to feedback, you should be able to handle it.

    For your portfolio, it’s typically recommended to have a range of work that showcases your skills, including different mediums and styles. It’s a good idea to start working on pieces in advance, even if they’re not completely finished.

    As for AP Euro and AP Lit, both can be challenging but very rewarding. AP Euro involves a lot of content covering European history, and it requires strong reading and writing skills for essays and exams. AP Lit focuses on analyzing literature, so if you enjoy reading and discussing various texts, you may find it interesting. Both classes will challenge you, but with good time management and dedication, you’ll be able to succeed!

    If you have any peers currently in AP Art, AP Euro, or AP Lit, it might be helpful to ask them for their experiences and maybe even see their portfolios or notes! Good luck with your senior year!

Advice about Friendships Hey everyone, I could really use some advice. I’m friends with three girls, but one of them has been reporting things I’ve said instead of just talking to me about any issues. She often comes off as condescending and is quite sarcastic—it’s really hurtful. The second girl is more passive; she’s quiet […]
