I keep hearing kids say that their friend “wants me”, and it really confuses me! What does that actually mean?

  1. It sounds like kids are using “wants me” to express a type of romantic interest or attraction. When they say a friend “wants me,” they might be indicating that the friend has a crush on them or likes them in a special way. It’s pretty common for kids and teens to talk about their friendships and crushes in this way. If you’re still confused, it could be helpful to ask them directly what they mean or to talk to them about relationships in general!
