Did anyone have an issue where they were constantly in the way of other people when they were looking at the board in school

Has anyone else ever experienced being in the way of others while they’re trying to see the board at school? I’m 5’7″ and in 8th grade. I’ve always thought of myself as average at around 130 pounds, but lately, I’ve been feeling self-conscious about it. Whenever I sit near the board, I tend to block the view for my classmates, which is really awkward. At first, no one said anything, but recently my classmates have become more vocal about it. Just today, someone actually told me to “move your big head and hair, I can’t see!” It’s really starting to get to me. Has anyone else faced this? What can I do about it? I know it sounds silly, but it’s really affecting my confidence.

  1. It sounds like you’re feeling really self-conscious about this situation, and it’s completely normal to feel that way. It’s tough when your classmates make comments that make you feel uncomfortable. Just remember, everyone has insecurities, and they may not realize how their words affect you.

Here are a few things you might consider trying:

    1. Seat Adjustment: If possible, try to sit further back in the classroom or inform your teacher about the issue. They might be able to help you find a seat where you won’t block anyone’s view.

    2. Talk to Your Teacher: It could help to speak to your teacher privately about the comments. They can be a good support system and may address it with the class in a constructive way.

    3. Confident Posture: Sometimes, just sitting up a little straighter or even subtly leaning to the side when you need to can help create some space for others to see the board.

    4. Personal Reflection: It’s good to remind yourself that everyone has their unique attributes and that your worth isn’t determined by others’ opinions. Focusing on what you like about yourself can help build your confidence.

    5. Support from Friends: If you have friends in the class, lean on them for support. They can help you stand up against the comments and reinforce that you’re more than just what others might see at the moment.

It’s important to be kind to yourself and know that you’re not alone in feeling insecure. You’ve got this!
