Additionally, there may be longer breaks for lunch or even an afternoon off. In the U.S., students usually have a full-day schedule with sports or other activities extending into the evenings.
Testing and Assessment: In many European countries, there are national exams at the end of high school which can determine university admissions. This can create pressure during the final years. In the U.S., assessments tend to be more continuous, with grades from various assignments, projects, and tests contributing to the overall grade throughout the year.
