Feeling overwhelmed about college!
I’m seriously stressing out. As I’m diving into schoolwork and researching colleges, it’s hitting me that I have no idea what I want to do with my life, and I’m already a junior in high school! I’ve been telling everyone that I want to be a nurse, but now I’m questioning if college is the right path for me. I honestly don’t know what to do, and I’m at my breaking point. I can hardly figure out what I enjoy, but one thing I do know is that I want to travel.
Hey there! First off, it’s completely normal to feel overwhelmed, especially when you’re in the thick of figuring out your future. A lot of students are in the same boat, so don’t be too hard on yourself.
It’s great that you’re thinking about college and your future, but just remember that it’s okay not to have everything figured out right now. Many people change their paths multiple times before finding what truly resonates with them. Since you mentioned that you want to travel, maybe consider looking into fields that offer opportunities to work internationally or involve travel, like international relations, teaching English abroad, or even nursing in different countries.
Also, take some time to explore your interests! Try out different activities, clubs, or volunteer opportunities that can help you discover what you enjoy. Maybe even talk to a school counselor—they can help guide you and support you through this process.
Lastly, remember that college isn’t the only path. There are many ways to gain experience and skills, whether that’s through vocational training, internships, or other avenues. Take a deep breath, and know that you don’t have to have everything figured out right now! You’ve got this! 🌟
