Returning to University After a Break

Hey everyone, I could use some advice on going back to uni after an extended time at home. Back in mid-January, I experienced a nervous breakdown and took some time off. I’ve been to campus a few times since then but only for short visits and haven’t stayed overnight.

Mentally, I’m feeling much better now, but I’m struggling to motivate myself to return full-time. While I have friends and my boyfriend at uni, I really enjoy the comfort and ease of being at home. My room at uni is quite small, and the daily routine feels monotonous and unstructured. At home, I have the freedom of a whole house, family around, and plenty of activities to engage in. Plus, I’m not responsible for daily cooking and cleaning, which not only makes things easier but also helps with my finances since I’m not spending as much.

I do feel guilty about leaving my boyfriend at uni for such a long time, especially since we do everything together. I know he’ll be bored, but he’s been incredibly supportive of my decision to take the time I need to recover.

What should I do? It’s also worth mentioning that I’m in my final year and live about 1.5 hours away from campus. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
