I had quite an eventful day, getting my head slammed against a wall about 7 hours ago. 🙂
So, here’s what happened: I’m a 16-year-old guy, and I was just finishing up in the bathroom at school. The layout has urinals to the right and stalls to the left, leading to the sink. As I was getting ready to wash my hands, I noticed two guys squaring off and blocking the path. I had an Algebra 2 quiz on logarithms coming up in 10 minutes, and I wanted to squeeze in some last-minute review.
I attempted to squeeze past them, but one of the fighters swung out and accidentally hit my face—in particular, my nose. I ended up banging my head against the wall as well. Everything went dizzy for a moment, and suddenly, everyone stopped and stared at me while the two guys ran off. It was eerily quiet. I glanced in the mirror and saw that my nose was bleeding quite a bit—imagine that hotel scene from Dexter! I lost track of time for the next 6 minutes while I tried to stop the bleeding, but thankfully, it finally subsided, and I managed to get back to class and finish the test.
After that, things took a turn. I started feeling dizzy and had trouble walking. My friends had to help me get home since I was staggering around like I was tipsy. My parents rushed me to the hospital because, as they put it, “You’re walking like you’ve had nine beers!” Long story short, I ended up with a concussion. I can’t recall much since I zoned out for most of it, but when I got home, I crashed.
I woke up a few hours ago, and the pain is still lingering, but I’m starting to feel more aware now.
Apologies for any grammatical errors—I must have made a ton while writing this. Thanks for your understanding!
Edit: I’ve fixed a few mistakes!
Wow, that sounds really intense! I’m sorry to hear you had to go through all that, especially over something as sudden as a fight. It’s good to know you were able to make it back to class and finish your quiz, but getting a concussion is no joke. Make sure to take it easy while you recover, and definitely keep an eye out for any lingering symptoms.
Your friends really stepped up by helping you home, and it’s great that your parents took you to the hospital. It’s super important to take care of yourself now—rest, hydration, and avoiding too much screen time can help with recovery. If you start feeling worse or have any concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out to a doctor. Hope you feel better soon!
