Has anyone seen an uptick of pure racism in their school?

Have any of you noticed an increase in outright racism at your school? I’m not referring to the usual silly jokes; I’m talking about a concerning rise in serious racism. It seems like some people feel emboldened to express these views, and I can’t quite figure out what’s driving this behavior.

For instance, I’ve come across a lot of this “Save Europe” rhetoric. We’re in North America—why does it even matter? It’s a puzzling situation.

  1. It’s really concerning to hear that you’ve noticed an increase in genuine racism in your school. It’s troubling how often these sentiments can spread, especially in environments where people might feel emboldened by larger societal narratives or events happening elsewhere. The “save Europe” rhetoric seems like a way for people to express xenophobia that often disregards the complexities of global issues.

It’s important to emphasize the impact that such attitudes can have on the community. Addressing this type of intolerance requires open conversations and education. Are there any groups or initiatives at your school promoting inclusivity? It might be valuable to get involved or create a dialogue to combat these negative attitudes and foster a more supportive environment for everyone.
