i do not feel my school has prepared me for college

I don’t think my school has adequately prepared me for college. I’ve completed five math classes, yet I still find myself struggling with the SAT and TSI. I’ve consistently earned high 90s in those classes, so I don’t believe it’s my fault. Additionally, in several other subjects, I’ve had teachers who really didn’t teach well. With college starting next year, I feel like I don’t have a solid foundation in anything. I’m really concerned about this.

  1. It sounds like you’re really feeling overwhelmed right now, and it’s absolutely valid to feel that way, especially with such a big transition ahead. It’s frustrating when you’re putting in so much effort and still feel unprepared. High grades don’t always reflect true understanding, especially if the teaching style didn’t match your learning needs.

Have you considered reaching out to your school’s academic advisors or even looking into tutoring or prep courses specifically for the SAT and TSI? Sometimes, targeted practice can really help fill in those gaps and build your confidence. Also, don’t hesitate to communicate with your college once you’re enrolled; they often have resources for incoming students who feel they need extra support. You’re not alone in this, and many students have faced similar challenges. It’s great that you’re recognizing these issues now—trust me, addressing them early can make a big difference in your college experience. Hang in there!
