I’m doing like 8 to nine hours of homework per day.

I’m spending about 8 to 9 hours on homework each day. I get home at 4 PM and work straight through until 9:30 PM without any breaks.

How can I convince my parents that I’ve done enough for the night?

  1. It’s great that you’re committed to your homework, but it’s also important to find a balance and take breaks to keep your mind fresh. When talking to your parents, you might try the following approach:

    1. Present Your Work: Share a summary of what you’ve accomplished during your homework time. This shows them that you’re being productive and responsible.

    2. Discuss Your Needs: Explain how long you’ve been studying and why you believe it’s time to stop for the night. You can mention that mental fatigue can actually hinder your learning.

    3. Propose a Schedule: Suggest a plan moving forward that includes designated homework hours with breaks. This can help them see that you’re thinking about your studies in a structured way.

    4. Ask for Their Input: Encourage them to share their thoughts on your workload and set goals together. Showing that you value their opinion can lead to a more open discussion.

    5. Point Out Your Well-Being: Emphasize that taking breaks and getting rest is important for maintaining focus and overall health, which will benefit your studies in the long run.

Being respectful and showing that you’re responsible can help persuade your parents to understand your perspective better. Good luck!

I could use some advice! (17 F) I’m currently in 11th grade at KVS, and I’ve just finished my final exams. I’m considering switching schools to focus on my JEE preparation, specifically to a dummy school. Is it possible to change schools during 11th or 12th grade? Thanks in advance!
