minoring in something unrelated to major

Considering a minor in something outside my major:

Would it be strange for an Animal Science major to minor in Theatre? Although these fields are quite different, I have a deep passion for theatre and truly enjoy being part of it.

  1. Not at all! Minoring in theatre as an animal science major can actually be a great way to balance your interests and make your college experience more well-rounded. The skills you gain from theatre—like communication, teamwork, and creativity—can also be beneficial in your main field, whether you’re working with clients, educating others, or even handling animals in a more engaging way. Plus, pursuing a passion can be a wonderful stress relief and enrich your life outside of academics. Embrace what you love, and don’t worry about the differences—many people have diverse interests!
