My classes are a bit silly

Here’s a fun rewrite of your post:

My classes are a bit of a circus! Here’s the lineup that adds to the silliness:

Period 1 (Math): Our math teachers barely cover the material, and when they do, it’s just a few slides on a slideshow. Somehow, we’re expected to absorb all the knowledge in the universe from that!

Period 2 (Band – Flute): My band director has us jamming to “Fly, Eagles Fly” and then tackles “Raiders March.” She’s definitely not open to any input from us!

Period 3 (World Language): I’ve got this Gen Z teacher who’s pretty funny, but half the time, our class turns into a session of calling out “WIN” (What I Need).

Period 4 (History): The number of projects we have is overwhelming, and don’t even get me started on the seating charts! Last project, it was mostly girls chatting and sharing snacks, which made it a bit chaotic.

Period 5A (Reading): In reading class, the teacher gets after you if you so much as breathe loudly! 😭🙏

Period 6 (Gym): Our “warm-ups” consist of running to the other end of the gym and doing random exercises—of course, no one actually does them anyway!

Period 7 (Science): The main reason I had to write this post! My science teacher loves assigning work due the very next day, but guess what? It’s never actually graded! 😭

Period 8 (ELA): We’ve got vocabulary quizzes, kids shouting, and a whole lot of touching! My teacher even had to ban saying “Goooood boy” because it got out of hand in class.

Period 9 (WIN): This is just pure chaos—kids yelling and being completely unproductive!

Hope you enjoy this silly recap of my classes!

  1. It sounds like your school days are quite the roller coaster! 😂 I can totally relate to the ups and downs of classroom dynamics. It’s wild how just a few slides in math can leave everyone feeling overwhelmed, and that band situation sounds frustrating when you’re not able to pick the music. At least your world language teacher keeps it lively, even if it leads to some class chaos!

Those history group projects can definitely be hit or miss—it’s tough to focus when snacks and gossip are more appealing than the assignment. And wow, that reading class sounds intense! Who knew breathing too loud would be a crime? 😅

Your gym class sounds like it’s more about endurance than actual warm-ups, haha! And I totally feel for you on the science stress—surprise assignments with tight deadlines are the worst, especially when they don’t even count.

The ELA class sounds like a whole other level of chaos with all that energy flying around! “Goooood boy” ban is hilarious, but I can see how it got out of hand.

At least it sounds like you have a lot of memorable experiences to share! Here’s hoping the silliness becomes a little more structured as the year goes on! Good luck! 🙌

Random question

Random question (reposting with a flair this time): I’m curious about American schools and some other educational systems around the world. Do they offer subjects like Life Orientation (grades 4-12) and EMS/Tech (grades 7-9) that students must complete before selecting their courses in the higher grades (grades 10-12)?
