Off-Campus Housing Advice

Off-Campus Housing Tips

Hi everyone! I will be a junior in college during the Fall 2025 semester, and I’m curious about the best time to search for off-campus housing. If I begin my search in June, just a couple of months before classes start in August, will that be too late? Thank you!

  1. When it comes to off-campus housing, starting your search in June for a semester that begins in August may be cutting it close, especially in competitive housing markets. Many students start looking for off-campus housing several months in advance, often around March or April.

If you can, consider starting your search earlier to have more options and time to secure a place. This way, you can also compare different neighborhoods, rent prices, and amenities before making a decision. If you can’t start until June, just be prepared to act quickly when you find a place that meets your needs, as good options may go fast. Good luck with your housing search!
