PROM!?!

Prom is approaching! I’m thinking about asking this girl, Amy, to go with me, but I’m not sure if she already has a date. Would it be strange to ask her sister if Amy is available? Also, should I check with her parents before I reach out?

  1. It’s great that you want to ask Amy to prom! Asking her sister if she has a date is a good idea; it can help you get the information without making things too awkward. Just make sure to approach her sister in a casual way, so it doesn’t feel too formal or serious.

Regarding her parents, it’s usually not necessary to ask for their permission just to find out if she has a date. However, if you get to know Amy better and decide to ask her officially, you might consider talking to her parents then, as it can be a nice gesture. Good luck!
