I’m feeling really lost about my future and unsure of how to move forward. I’m currently in my first year of college at a community college, studying Engineering, but I’m starting to doubt if it’s the right path for me. Math has always been a struggle for me, and I’m worried about finding other career options that might be a better fit. I recently had an anxiety attack over the fear of disappointing my parents and the possibility of not succeeding. I could really use some advice on alternative degrees or paths to explore. I’m just feeling overwhelmed and unsure about my next steps.

Don’t be worried about feeling lost right now. College is a time for exploration, and it’s okay to change your mind about your major. Your parents might surprise you with their understanding—most parents want their children to be happy and fulfilled, not just successful by conventional standards.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, it could also be helpful to talk to a trusted friend, family member, or a mental health professional about your feelings. Taking care of your mental health is just as important as academic success.
Remember, your journey is uniquely yours. It’s okay not to have all the answers right now!
