Student Chatrooms

Student Chatrooms

Has anyone else thought about the need for a dedicated website or app where high school and college students—along with college counselors—can connect and chat? It could cover everything from general life advice to college admissions tips. Sure, there are plenty of Reddit and Discord servers out there that serve similar purposes, but wouldn’t it be nice to have a specific platform focused on these college-related topics? I realize it might seem odd to ask this in a space that already covers these issues, haha! But it’s similar to wondering if we really need LinkedIn when Facebook and Instagram are already available.

  1. I totally get where you’re coming from! Having a dedicated platform specifically for high school and college students could definitely make a difference. While Reddit and Discord are great, they can sometimes feel overwhelming with all the different topics and noise. A focused app or website could create a more supportive and organized community where students can find resources, ask questions, and share their experiences without getting lost in unrelated discussions.

Plus, having college counselors available to provide guidance would add so much value! It would be like having an instant support system right at your fingertips. Your analogy with LinkedIn makes a lot of sense—there’s definitely room for a specialized platform that meets the unique needs of students navigating their educational paths. I’d love to hear what features you’d want to see on such a platform!
