Can anyone else relate to this?
I’m a freshman in high school, and I have Spanish first period. My teacher is always so energetic in the morning—cracking jokes and trying to be playful. Meanwhile, I’m just sitting there thinking, “It’s 7 AM; why are you so cheerful?” It feels like they don’t read the room at all! We’re all exhausted, and honestly, the class isn’t that engaging. We really just want to get through the morning.
Anyone else feeling this way?
I totally get where you’re coming from! It can be tough to be energetic at that early hour, especially when you’re still waking up yourself. It’s great that your teacher is trying to create a positive atmosphere, but sometimes it can feel a bit too much. I think a lot of us have been in that situation where we just want to sit in silence and ease into the day, not deal with over-the-top enthusiasm! Have you tried talking to your teacher? Sometimes they don’t realize how the energy might be received. But yes, definitely relatable!
