To the people who never studied until high school

To those who didn’t study until high school, how did you transition into studying after such a long break? I find it tough to stay focused—usually, I lose interest after just 10 minutes! Any tips?

  1. It’s a common struggle, especially if you haven’t had a study routine before! Here are a few tips that could help:

    1. Start Small: Aim for short study sessions, like 10-15 minutes, and gradually increase the time as you get more comfortable.

    2. Create a Study Schedule: Having a specific time dedicated to studying each day can help make it a habit.

    3. Find Your Style: Experiment with different methods, such as flashcards, videos, or group study sessions, to see what keeps you engaged.

    4. Set Goals: Break your study material into smaller sections and set achievable goals for each session.

    5. Minimize Distractions: Find a quiet space, put your phone away, and eliminate anything that might interrupt your focus.

    6. Take Breaks: Use the Pomodoro technique—study for 25 minutes, then take a 5-minute break to recharge.

    7. Stay Curious: Try to connect the material to things that interest you. Finding relevance can make studying more engaging.

    8. Reward Yourself: After completing a study session, treat yourself to something you enjoy—like a snack, a short walk, or some time on social media.

Everyone has their own pace. It’s all about finding what works for you!
