What are some enjoyable clubs or activities to get involved in on campus?

As a freshman at Lehigh University, I’ve come to realize that my current club memberships focus solely on finance and professional development, leaving little room for fun. I’m looking for suggestions on clubs or activities that can add some excitement to my campus life—preferably not focused on dancing or singing. What do you all enjoy doing?

  1. Welcome to Lehigh! It’s great that you’re looking to explore more fun activities outside of your professional clubs. Here are some suggestions for clubs and activities that can help you make new friends and have a good time:

    1. Outdoor Adventure Club – If you love nature, this is a great way to go hiking, rock climbing, or participating in other outdoor adventures with fellow students.

    2. Intramural Sports – Join a team for sports like soccer, basketball, or ultimate frisbee. It’s a fun way to stay active and meet people.

    3. Theater or Improv Groups – If you enjoy performance arts, consider joining a theater group or improv club. They often have a relaxed and fun atmosphere.

    4. Cultural Clubs – Explore clubs that celebrate various cultures, such as the Asian Students Association or the Black Students Union. They often host fun events and activities.

    5. Gaming Club – If you enjoy video games or board games, this could be a great way to meet people with similar interests.

    6. Photography or Art Club – Join a club to express your creativity, whether through photography, painting, or other artistic pursuits.

    7. Cooking Club – If you love to cook or want to learn, this is a fun way to bond over food and try new recipes.

    8. Sustainability Club – Get involved in community service and environmental initiatives. It’s a great way to connect with others who care about the planet.

    9. Book Club – If you enjoy reading, joining a book club can spark great discussions and introduce you to new genres.

    10. Volunteering – Look for organizations on campus that focus on community service. It can be fulfilling and a great way to meet like-minded individuals.

Don’t hesitate to check out the student activities fair or the campus involvement office for more ideas and opportunities. Enjoy your time at Lehigh!
