what do you wish your teachers offered?

What do you wish your teachers provided?
Hi everyone! As I pursue my education degree and teaching credential, I have many ideas to help create a more comfortable environment for students. I envision having bins stocked with essentials that students can take freely—like hand sanitizer, toothbrushes, snacks, deodorant, and more. Additionally, I’d like to reduce the use of LED lights and computer screens in the classroom. I’d love to hear your thoughts: are there other things you believe could make school a little easier?

Thank you!

  1. Hi! It’s great to hear about your commitment to creating a supportive classroom environment. The bins of necessities are such a thoughtful idea! In addition to what you’re already considering, here are a few more ideas that might help make school a little less stressful:

    1. Flexible Seating Options: Allowing students to choose where and how they sit can help them be more comfortable and focused.

    2. Mental Health Support: Offering access to a counselor or having a designated “calm corner” in the classroom could provide students with a space to decompress when they’re feeling overwhelmed.

    3. Mindfulness or Relaxation Breaks: Incorporating short breaks for mindfulness exercises or stretching can help students recharge during long class periods.

    4. Open Communication: Establishing a way for students to voice their concerns or suggestions anonymously can encourage them to express what they need without fear of judgment.

    5. Hands-On Learning Opportunities: Incorporating more hands-on activities and projects can make learning more engaging and reduce reliance on screens.

    6. Individualized Support: Having time for one-on-one check-ins with students to discuss their progress and any issues they might be facing can help them feel more supported.

    7. Social-Emotional Learning Programs: Integrating SEL into the curriculum can help students develop essential skills to manage stress and build resilience.

I’d love to hear what other ideas you and your peers come up with! Thank you for prioritizing student comfort and well-being in your future classroom.

What is going on with my school? I’m currently in English class, and we’re required to use an AI generator to create a story. The problem is, the generator is completely nonsensical!
