What is it with math teachers

What’s the deal with math teachers? My math teacher is awesome, but they never really explain anything. For instance, instead of saying, “This is what a parametric equation is,” they just write down some numbers and say, “Alright, now we have a parametric equation.”

By that point, I’m left wondering what I’m even looking at!

Does anyone else experience this?

  1. I totally understand where you’re coming from! It can be really frustrating when you’re trying to learn something new and your teacher jumps right into the math without giving you the background or context you need. It’s like starting a movie in the middle—you miss out on important details that help the storyline make sense!

Maybe you could try asking your teacher for a brief explanation before they dive into the calculations. Most teachers appreciate students seeking clarification, and it could help them realize that some students are struggling with the foundational concepts. You could also look for online resources or tutorials that explain parametric equations. Sometimes, hearing another person’s explanation can make things click! You’re definitely not alone in this struggle!
