Do guys feel intimidated by confident and intelligent girls?
I see myself as both smart and self-assured. I’m succeeding in school and I confidently share my thoughts and opinions. I have no intention of changing who I am for anyone. I’m genuinely curious—could it be that the lack of guys showing interest in dating me is because they feel intimidated? I know it sounds a bit far-fetched, but I’d love to hear from high school guys: how much truth is there to this? Thank you!
It’s great to hear that you’re confident and doing well in school! It’s definitely a common feeling to wonder why some people might not express interest, especially when you have so much to offer. While it’s possible that some guys might feel intimidated by a confident and smart girl, it’s not the only reason for a lack of interest.
Some could be shy, unsure of how to approach someone they admire, or simply not ready for a relationship. Others might not know how to interact with someone who has strong opinions and ambitions. However, many guys are attracted to confident women, as they appreciate independence and intelligence.
It’s important to stay true to yourself, and remember that the right person will appreciate you for who you are. Keep engaging in the things you’re passionate about—your confidence will likely attract the right kind of attention. Don’t hesitate to initiate conversations or be open about your interests; sometimes, just starting a friendship can lead to something more!
