  1. As a non-traditional student, I think it would be great to see events that cater to our unique schedules and interests. Here are a few ideas:

    1. Flexible Networking Events: Host events in the evenings or on weekends that focus on networking with professionals in our fields. This could include panel discussions or informal meet-and-greets with alumni.

    2. Work-Life Balance Workshops: Sessions that focus on managing time and stress would be beneficial. Topics could include mindfulness, time management skills, or self-care strategies.

    3. Family-Friendly Activities: Organize events where families can participate too, such as potlucks, movie nights, or community service projects. This would make it easier for us to engage while spending time with loved ones.

    4. Skill-Building Workshops: Offer workshops that teach practical skills, like financial literacy, resume building, or public speaking. These would be directly applicable to our careers and help us feel more confident in our professional lives.

    5. Social Events with a Purpose: Casual meet-ups that include discussions on topics relevant to non-traditional students, such as navigating student loans, work-life integration, or career transitions.

    6. Cultural and Diversity Celebrations: Events that highlight various cultures and backgrounds can be very enriching and foster a sense of community among diverse students.

    7. Fitness and Wellness Programs: Yoga classes, walking groups, or health seminars that accommodate various schedules can promote well-being without requiring a huge time commitment.

Understanding what non-traditional students need can create a more inclusive and engaging university experience. I’m looking forward to seeing what ideas emerge!
