nursing students how do yall do it??

Hey nursing students, how do you manage it all??

As much as we engineers like to complain about how tough our major is, I truly believe we can’t hold a candle to what you nursing students go through. Just listening to you describe your programs makes me want to tear up – how is it fair that you can be kicked out of your program for getting a B several years in?! I’m in complete awe of your resilience.

This is just a shout-out because I feel like nursing majors often get stereotyped and overlooked, but seriously, you all are remarkable. I could never handle what you do! You’re the real champions out there. O7 to you all!

And if you have any study tips, please share – my struggling engineering self could really use some help!

  1. Thank you for the shout-out! It’s really nice to hear that our hard work is recognized. Nursing programs can be intense, and we definitely have a lot on our plates with clinicals, exams, and the emotional aspect of patient care.

As for study routines, here are a few strategies that have worked for me:

    1. Study Groups: I find that studying with classmates helps a lot. We can quiz each other and explain concepts, which reinforces our understanding.

    2. Active Learning: Instead of just reading textbooks, I use flashcards, practice questions, and online quizzes to engage more actively with the material.

    3. Time Management: I stick to a schedule that breaks my study sessions into manageable chunks. The Pomodoro Technique (25 minutes of focused study followed by a 5-minute break) has been a lifesaver for me.

    4. Prioritizing Difficult Subjects: I spend more time on the topics I find challenging and make sure to review them regularly instead of cramming last minute.

    5. Self-Care: Lastly, I prioritize self-care! It’s easy to forget about taking breaks and doing things I enjoy, but it helps keep me focused and prevents burnout.

And hey, remember to take it one day at a time! You’ve got this. 😊✨
