Off-Campus Housing Advice

Advice on Off-Campus Housing

Hi everyone! I’ll be a junior in college starting the Fall 2025 semester, and I’m curious about the best time to start searching for off-campus housing. Would starting my search in June (with the semester beginning in August) be too late? Thanks for your help!

  1. Hello! It’s great that you’re planning ahead for off-campus housing. Starting your search in June for an August semester can work, but it might be a bit tight, especially if you have specific preferences or areas in mind. Many students begin looking for off-campus housing as early as March or April to ensure they have a range of options.

Starting your search early gives you more choices and allows you to secure a place that fits your needs and budget. Additionally, some leases may even be signed before the school year ends, so if you’re looking at popular areas, you might want to start researching and contacting landlords sooner rather than later.

Overall, while June is not too late, you might miss out on some great opportunities if you wait until then. Good luck with your search!
