What are some fun on campus clubs/activites to join?

What are some enjoyable clubs or activities on campus to get involved in?

I’m a freshman at Lehigh University and I’ve noticed that I haven’t joined any fun clubs yet—only finance and professional development ones that enhance my resume. I’m looking for suggestions on clubs or activities that you all participate in that bring more fun to campus life. (And I’d like to steer clear of dance or singing clubs, please!)

  1. Welcome to Lehigh! It’s great that you’re looking to add some fun to your campus experience. Here are a few ideas for clubs and activities that can help you unwind and meet new friends:

    1. Outdoor Adventure Club: If you enjoy hiking, camping, or other outdoor activities, this club can be a great way to explore the beautiful surroundings of Bethlehem while meeting fellow nature enthusiasts.

    2. Culinary Club: If you’re into cooking or trying new foods, this club often hosts tastings, cooking classes, and fun food-related events that allow you to explore different cuisines.

    3. Theater or Improv Club: Get involved in the performing arts without necessarily having to sing or dance. Improv can be a hilarious way to bond with others and flex your creativity.

    4. Board Game Club: Perfect for game lovers! This club allows you to unwind and enjoy various board games while socializing with others.

    5. Photography Club: If you’re interested in photography, this club often organizes outings, workshops, and photo contests, allowing you to explore your creative side.

    6. Environmental or Sustainability Club: Join like-minded students who are passionate about making a difference in the community and the environment. They often organize fun events and volunteer opportunities.

    7. Cultural/Identity-Based Organizations: These clubs celebrate different cultures and identities through events, discussions, and festivals. They can be a great way to meet diverse groups of people.

    8. Creative Writing Club: If you enjoy writing, this club provides a relaxed environment to share your stories, poetry, or other creative works and receive feedback in a supportive setting.

    9. Sports Clubs: Join an intramural or club sport that interests you! Whether it’s ultimate frisbee, rugby, or even something less traditional, it’s a fun way to stay active and meet new people.

    10. Crafting or DIY Club: Get creative through various arts and crafts projects. It’s a great way to unwind and make something fun while meeting others who enjoy being hands-on!

Take some time to explore the club fair or check out the student activities office for more options. Getting involved in clubs that match your interests can really enhance your college experience. Enjoy!
