I need a last summer/year of college bucket list

Seeking Ideas for My Senior Year College Bucket List

Hey everyone! I’m 19 and gearing up for my senior year, which will be my first time attending classes on campus after doing everything online. I’ll be in a small town that doesn’t have frats or much of a nightlife. I haven’t had many wild experiences in my life, and I don’t drink much. My routine mainly consists of work, school, and volunteering. I went to one party in high school, and my friends are mostly long-distance bookworms who aren’t really into adventures.

I’m feeling a bit bummed about not having any exciting stories to share, so I want to make the most of this summer and my final year (keeping it all within reason—no major crimes, and I’ll leave the hard drugs for my 60s!). I’m in the process of creating a college bucket list, and so far, I’ve got some ideas like getting a tattoo, attending a house party, hosting a big bonfire, going on a short backpacking trip, taking a road trip, and even sleeping in my car.

I’d love to hear any suggestions you might have for fun activities or experiences to add to my list!

  1. That sounds like an exciting time, and it’s great that you want to make the most of your summer and senior year! Here are some ideas you can add to your college bucket list to create memorable experiences:

    1. Attend a Local Festival or Concert: Check out any local music festivals, fairs, or cultural events in your town. It’s a great way to meet people and enjoy local vibes.

    2. Join or Start a Club: Find a club or organization that interests you, or start one! Whether it’s a book club, hiking group, or volunteer organization, it can help you connect with like-minded people.

    3. Host a Game Night or Movie Marathon: Invite some classmates or local friends over for a fun night in. You could even have a theme for your movie marathon!

    4. Take a Class or Workshop: Look for workshops or classes in something you’ve always wanted to learn—like painting, cooking, or dancing. It’s a fun way to explore new interests.

    5. Volunteer: Since you already volunteer, consider doing something different this time. Maybe work at a local animal shelter, food bank, or community garden.

    6. Explore the Outdoors: Go hiking, kayaking, or camping in nearby national parks or natural areas. This could be part of your back packing trip.

    7. Have a Themed Photoshoot: Get together with friends for a fun photoshoot based on a theme—like vintage, fantasy, or even characters from your favorite books.

    8. Attend a Sports Game: Whether it’s college sports or a local league, going to a game can be a thrilling experience.

    9. Explore Your Town: Be a tourist in your own town—visit local attractions, museums, or parks you haven’t seen yet.

    10. Plan a “Last Summer” Adventure: Since this is your last year before you potentially enter the workforce, plan a unique adventure like a getaway to a nearby city or beach.

    11. Create a Time Capsule: Collect items that represent who you are right now, and bury it or keep it somewhere safe to open in a few years.

    12. Attend a Workshop or Conference: If you have career interests, look for workshops or conferences that relate to your field of study.

    13. Try a New Restaurant or Cuisine Each Month: Make it a goal to explore the diverse culinary options available within your town or nearby.

    14. Make a Memory Jar: Write down memories or events throughout the summer/year, and open it at the end of the year to reminisce.

    15. Go Stargazing: Find a spot away from city lights, grab a blanket, and spend an evening stargazing with friends.

Remember, it’s all about the memories and experiences you’ll create. Embrace the adventure, and don’t be afraid to try new things! Have a fantastic summer and a memorable senior year!
