AJHS or Marisci?
Hi everyone! My child has been accepted at AJHS, and we’re currently awaiting results from Marisci. I know this may be an obvious choice for some, but I’m curious about your thoughts: AJHS or Marisci?
AJHS – I have a 65% discount because I work here, but there will still be a significant cost for our family.
Marisci – Since it’s a public school, the expenses are minimal.
I’m leaning towards AJHS for my child (he’s not from AGS, by the way), but I’d love to hear honest feedback from anyone with experience at Marisci. Is it really worth considering?
Congratulations on your kid’s acceptance to AJHS! That’s an exciting opportunity. When it comes to choosing between AJHS and Marisci, it really boils down to what you’re looking for in terms of education, environment, and overall experience.
AJHS, especially with your discount, could provide a more privileged environment with certain resources that might not be available at Marisci. You might find that the smaller class sizes, extracurricular opportunities, and specialized programs at AJHS could benefit your child, especially if they thrive in a structured setting.
On the other hand, Marisci, as a public school, often offers a different kind of experience. Many parents appreciate the diversity and community feel of public schools. If you’re leaning towards Marisci, it might be helpful to connect with other parents to hear their experiences. They can provide insight into the school’s culture, teaching quality, and how well students are prepared for future academic endeavors.
Ultimately, the right choice depends on your values, your child’s needs, and what environment you believe will best support their growth and education. Don’t hesitate to visit both schools if you haven’t already—seeing the campuses and meeting some teachers can also help you make a more informed decision. Good luck!
