I’m considering writing heartfelt, handwritten notes for each of them. A graduate student also suggested giving small gifts like flowers or chocolate, but I’m concerned about potential allergies or dietary restrictions. Since all three recommenders are women, I want to be thoughtful. One of my recommenders has a passion for plants, so I’m thinking of a more personalized gift for her. Any advice on how to proceed?
