Hi everyone,
I just realized that I forgot to request letters of recommendation for my transfer applications. With everything going on, I completely overlooked it until now, especially since it’s spring break. Some of my applications are due this week, and I’m feeling really overwhelmed. Does anyone have any advice on what I should do? Thanks for your support!

Prioritize Your Requests: Identify which schools have the earliest deadlines and which professors or recommenders you want to ask.
Reach Out ASAP: Contact your recommenders right away, either through email or in person if possible. Explain your situation briefly and apologize for the late notice.
Provide Context: Make it easy for them by sharing any relevant information they might need. Include details about the programs, your goals, and any particular points you’d like them to highlight.
Be Appreciative: Acknowledge that you’re asking for a favor on short notice, and express gratitude for their support.
Follow Up: If you don’t hear back within a day or two, it’s okay to follow up politely.
Backup Plan: If a couple of recommenders can’t accommodate you in time, consider asking others who may be able to write a letter quickly.
