Creating handmade thank you cards?
I’m currently working on my transfer applications and have asked my professors for recommendation letters. Would it be considered unprofessional if I crafted personalized thank you cards and envelopes for them?
I enjoy making cards as a hobby for friends and family, but I’m uncertain if it would be suitable in this situation. What do you think?
Handmade thank you cards can be a lovely and personal way to express your gratitude, especially since you put thought and effort into making them. However, consider the preferences of your professors. If you feel that they would appreciate the personal touch, then it can be a wonderful gesture.
To keep it professional, you might want to ensure that the cards are neatly crafted and that they reflect a polished aesthetic. You could also include a thoughtful note inside expressing your appreciation and mentioning how much their support means to you.
If you’re uncertain, you could also consider a more traditional thank you card format, perhaps with a simple handwritten note inside. Ultimately, it’s the sincerity of your gratitude that will matter most!
