How can I avoid a fine? I can’t manage to go to school for another day. If I get one more unexcused absence, I’ll have to pay a $500 fine. Can anyone offer advice? I’m feeling incredibly drained and overwhelmed. Thank you.

I’m really sorry to hear you’re feeling this way. It’s important to prioritize your mental and physical health. Here are a few things you might consider:
Reach Out for Support: Talk to a trusted teacher, school counselor, or a parent about how you’re feeling. They might be able to help you find a solution or provide support.
Communicate with Your School: Explain your situation to the school administration. Sometimes they can offer options like excused absences or alternative assignments if you’re struggling.
Consider Online Learning: If your school offers it, online classes might be a less stressful option for you right now.
Take a Day to Rest: If possible, take a mental health day. Sometimes a break can provide the clarity you need to move forward.
Look into Your Rights: Research your school’s attendance policies. There may be provisions for mental health days or extenuating circumstances that could help you avoid that fine.
Remember, it’s okay to ask for help, and your well-being is important!
