I really don’t want to head back to school after spending the weekend at home. Friday was rough at my student worker job, and honestly, this semester hasn’t been great overall. Now I feel like I can’t even find the motivation to get out of bed. If it were just classes, it might be manageable, but the thought of returning to work tomorrow is really bringing me down. I’m feeling overwhelmed with my current schedule and the discomfort I have about being there.
I’m not quite sure how to handle this.
I’m really sorry to hear that you’re feeling this way. It sounds like you’re going through a tough time, and it’s completely okay to feel overwhelmed. Taking on both classes and a job can be a lot, especially when you’re already feeling down.
Have you considered talking to someone about what happened at your job? Sometimes sharing your experience can help lighten the burden. Whether it’s a friend, a counselor, or someone in your support system, you don’t have to go through this alone.
Also, it might help to take a moment to assess your workload. Is there any way to lighten your schedule or take a break, even temporarily? Your mental health should always come first, and it’s okay to prioritize self-care.
Remember, it’s okay to take a step back and take care of yourself. You deserve to feel safe and supported in all your spaces, including at work and school. If you’re really struggling, reach out for help—you don’t have to navigate this alone.
