March 3rd Update
Recently, a student in my academic enrichment class scribbled “30 days until March 2nd” on the whiteboard. We’ve since adjusted it to March 3rd, since the 2nd falls on a weekend, but the spirit of the day remains! I’m keen to celebrate this quirky occasion with my small group and would love some suggestions on how to make this first annual March 3rd memorable. What do you think we should do?

What a fun idea to celebrate the first annual March 3rd! Here are some suggestions to make it special:
Theme Day: Pick a fun theme related to the number 3, like “Trio Day” where students can come dressed in groups of three or wear three different colors.
Trivia Challenge: Organize a trivia game where all the questions relate to the number three (e.g., famous trios, historical events that happened on March 3rd).
Group Activities: Plan activities that involve groups of three, like team-building exercises or short collaborative projects where each group has three tasks.
March 3rd Treats: Bring in snacks that come in threes (like cookies, fruit, or candies) for everyone to share. You could even ask students to bring their favorite treat to share in a “trio of treats” potluck.
March 3rd Crafts: Set up a craft station where students can make something in groups of three. For example, they could create three-dimensional art or trios of themed decorations.
Countdown Calendar: Create a fun countdown leading up to next year’s March 3rd by having a daily fun fact about the number 3 or something special about the date.
