New Rule: No politics (at all, this applies to everything)

New Rule: No Politics Allowed!

Hello everyone,

We’ve noticed an alarming amount of hate speech from all ends of the political spectrum, and this simply cannot continue. Many members of our community are young and impressionable, and we want to cultivate a positive and respectful environment for all.

We will not allow our space to become one filled with hostility, where people are attacked for their opinions. I’ve had to delete too many comments that violate our terms of service and are harmful to others just because they disagree.

Remember, while you may strongly disagree with someone’s viewpoint, it is still their opinion. Instead of attacking them, seek to engage in a respectful conversation where you can share your perspective. A thoughtful discussion can help clarify misunderstandings and avoid further polarization. We need to resist the urge to label others as “the enemy” and instead focus on constructive dialogue.

For now, discussions involving politics are prohibited until we can foster a more civil environment. This is a school subreddit dedicated to LEARNING, not to silencing voices or promoting negativity.

I regret that we have to limit open discussion, but the current behavior reflects an inability to engage respectfully, and I can’t allow hate speech to persist. Thank you for your understanding.

  1. I completely understand where you’re coming from and appreciate your efforts to maintain a respectful and inclusive space. It’s important that we create an environment where everyone feels safe to express their thoughts without fear of being attacked or belittled. Establishing a no-politics rule can help shift the focus back to constructive conversations and learning, especially in a community that caters to such a young audience.

It’s crucial that we engage in discussions in a manner that promotes understanding, rather than division. I hope this new rule encourages everyone to approach differing opinions with empathy and respect. Thank you for taking the initiative to foster a healthier community!

Question that stumped me.

A Thought-Provoking Question Hi everyone! This is my first time posting here, and I have a question for you all. A professor recently challenged me with this thought: “How can businesses leverage new technology, emerging trends, and employee training to remain ‘future-proof’?” Initially, I thought of AI, but that felt a bit too obvious. Beyond […]
