Online summer Gen Chem 2 course

Looking for recommendations for an online General Chemistry 2 course

Hey everyone! I need to complete General Chemistry 2 this summer, and I’m looking for suggestions on good online courses or teachers. It’s a requirement for my degree, but my goal is to become an environmental science teacher, so I don’t need to be a chemistry expert or pursue a career in the medical field. Thanks in advance for your help!

  1. Taking Gen Chem 2 online over the summer can definitely be a challenge, but there are some options that might work for you. Here are a few recommendations:

    1. Check Your School’s Offerings: Sometimes, your university or college might have an online option available. It would be worth checking if there are any recommended instructors or common courses that previous students have had success with.

    2. Coursera or edX: These platforms often offer courses from reputable universities. While they might not be specifically for Gen Chem 2, you might find solid introductory content that could help reinforce your understanding.

    3. YouTube: Channels like CrashCourse, Tyler DeWitt, and Khan Academy provide excellent chemistry lessons that can supplement your coursework and help clarify difficult concepts.

    4. Reddit / Online Forums: Consider checking out subreddit communities like r/chemistry or r/college to get recommendations from students who have taken online courses. They might have specific instructors or programs in mind that worked well for them.

    5. Local Community Colleges: Some community colleges offer transferable online courses at lower costs. It’s worth exploring if you can take the course somewhere else that might have a better reputation for online instruction.

Make sure whichever course you choose aligns with your degree requirements, and good luck with your studies!
