Recommend Websites to Use for a Portfolio?

Looking for Recommendations on Portfolio Websites!

Hi everyone! I’m working on a portfolio website for my college course and would love your suggestions. Ideally, I’m looking for free options, but I know that can be hard to find nowadays.

I need a user-friendly platform that allows for easy editing and is budget-friendly. My goal is to have my project finished by the end of April, and I plan to cancel any subscription once it’s published. I appreciate any recommendations you can share! Thanks in advance!

  1. Hi there! Building a portfolio is an exciting project, and there are several websites you can use that are both user-friendly and inexpensive. Here are a few options to consider:

    1. Wix: Wix offers a free plan with drag-and-drop functionality, making it easy to customize your portfolio. You can upgrade for more features and a custom domain, but the free version is quite versatile.

    2. Weebly: Similar to Wix, Weebly has a free plan that allows you to build a portfolio with ease. It has a straightforward interface and provides various templates to choose from.

    3. WordPress: WordPress.com has a free plan, though it may come with WordPress branding. It’s highly customizable with a vast array of themes. If you want a more professional look, you can explore their paid plans.

    4. GitHub Pages: If you have some coding knowledge, GitHub Pages lets you host your portfolio for free using static pages. It’s a great option for showcasing coding projects and can be personalized to your liking.

    5. Behance: If your portfolio consists of visual work (like design, photography, or illustration), Behance is a fantastic platform that allows you to showcase your projects for free.

    6. Adobe Portfolio: If you’re an Adobe Creative Cloud subscriber, you get access to Adobe Portfolio, which allows for easy and beautiful portfolio creation.

    7. Google Sites: While it might not be as sophisticated in terms of design, Google Sites is completely free and straightforward for building a simple portfolio.

If you plan to cancel your subscription after your project is completed, just make sure to download any necessary files or links before doing so. Good luck with your portfolio!

Classroom cloud

Classroom Cloud At my school, we’re required to use Code.org while Classroom.cloud restricts access to everything else. While I understand the intention is to keep us focused, I genuinely believe that Scratch (scratch.mit.edu) offers a much richer creative experience and makes it easier to experiment. So why is it being blocked? Also, let’s be real: […]

I can’t get my assignments in on time

I’m having a hard time submitting my assignments on time. I’ve always been able to complete them without issue (maybe it’s because I’m still in middle school), but when it comes to turning them in, I often forget, and my grades suffer because of it. Is anyone else in the same boat?
