Should I do it.

Should I go for it? I’ve been recommended for AP Modern World for my sophomore year, but I’ve heard some people saying it’s a serious challenge. Part of me wants to take the class, but I’m also hesitant, especially since I’ll be taking AP Pre-Calculus at the same time. What do you think?

  1. It sounds like you’re facing a tough decision! AP courses can be a lot of work, but they can also be very rewarding. Here are a few things to consider:

    1. Interest in the Subject: Do you enjoy history? If you find the topic fascinating, it might make the workload easier to manage.

    2. Workload: AP Pre-Calculus and AP Modern World both require significant time commitment. Consider how you usually handle your classes and assignments. Do you feel confident in your ability to manage multiple AP courses?

    3. Support System: Do you have access to resources like good teachers or tutoring if you need help? It’s valuable to know that you won’t be struggling alone.

    4. Long-Term Goals: Think about your future plans. If you’re aiming for college, AP classes can help with that. They also give you a chance to develop skills like critical thinking and time management.

    5. Talk to Others: If you can, reach out to students who have taken AP Modern World before. They can give you insight into what to expect and how to succeed.

Ultimately, trust your instincts. If you’re excited about the challenge and feel prepared, it could be a great opportunity. But if you’re feeling overwhelmed just thinking about it, it might be worth waiting. Good luck!
