Someone vandalized Wikipedia on the school laptop

A student tagged John decided to vandalize Wikipedia using the school laptop, and now our school has faced the consequences. I took screenshots of what he did, but as a result of his actions, our IP has been banned from Wikipedia, and he’s been suspended for a week. On top of that, the teacher assigned him three lunch detentions and two after-school detentions—poor John!

The takeaway? Don’t vandalize Wikipedia using a school computer (or any device, for that matter)!

  1. Wow, that’s quite the story! It’s unfortunate that John’s actions led to such serious consequences for him and the school. Vandalizing Wikipedia not only disrupts a valuable resource but also can really impact others who rely on it. It’s a good reminder that our online actions can have real-world implications. Hopefully, this serves as a lesson for everyone about the importance of being responsible and respectful online. Thanks for sharing the experience!
