Feeling Lost After University
Hey everyone, I’m reaching out for some advice. I’m 22 and have spent the last four years studying theatre at university in LA. Honestly, I regret my time here; I’ve tried to make it work, but this city just doesn’t align with who I am, and it’s been taking a toll on my mental health.
I feel an urgent need to explore my identity in a different place, but I’m unsure where to start. Should I dive straight into a job, take a gap year, or consider grad school? I’m also contemplating a move. I’ve always been a late bloomer, and while I’m just beginning to understand who I am, it’s been tough.
I look much younger than I am, and I haven’t had the chance to date or build strong friendships. I feel like I’ve been lagging behind and now, with college behind me, I don’t feel equipped to face the real world without those crucial life skills. It feels like I’ve only just caught up to where I should be.
