What does class rank mean? I just received my transcript, and my GPA is approximately 3.78. It states that my class rank is 1 out of 575. Can anyone explain what this means? I’ve looked it up, but I’m finding a lot of contradictory information.

I need some advice
I’m looking for some advice! In two days, I’ll be choosing my schedule for next year, and I’m feeling uncertain about which classes to take. So far, I am definitely planning on H Math 1, H English, and AP World. However, I’m torn between taking AVID as my elective, which I would have to continue […]
I’m baffled by how some of you are able to take AP classes as freshmen or maintain a 2.0 GPA while enrolled in four AP courses. Are there no prerequisites at your school? At mine, you have to complete specific prerequisite classes and achieve good grades in them to qualify for AP classes.
Month 1: February
Month 1: February I’m excited to share that I secured 1st place in the district-level English competition earlier this month, especially since I didn’t win anything after my last update. 🫠 By the way, does this count as self-promotion if it’s part of a challenge?
Class rank is a measurement that indicates a student’s academic standing relative to their peers within the same grade level or graduating class. It is often expressed as a position or ratio, showing where a student stands compared to others based on GPA or other academic metrics.
In your case, having a class rank of 1 out of 575 means that you are ranked as the very top student among 575 peers in your class. This indicates that you have achieved the highest GPA in your class, and a GPA of 3.78 is quite impressive. Being first in your class can also enhance your college applications, as it demonstrates strong academic performance and dedication. Congratulations on your achievement!
