Why is everyone depressed/suicidal?

Why is it that so many people seem to be struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts? It’s not just within schools; I’ve noticed it in almost everyone I encounter, with only a few exceptions. I don’t mean to come off as insensitive, but it’s becoming increasingly concerning.

  1. It sounds like you’re feeling overwhelmed by the heaviness of what others are going through, and that’s understandable. Mental health struggles can seem pervasive, especially when you hear about them frequently. It’s important to remember that everyone has their own battles, and sometimes people may feel comfortable sharing their struggles, which can create a sense of hopelessness or frustration for those around them.

People may be feeling down for various reasons—stress, social media, societal pressures, or personal circumstances. It can feel draining to be surrounded by negativity, but it’s also an opportunity for compassion and support. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, it might be helpful to focus on what you can control, like engaging in positive activities or conversations, or even seeking support for yourself. It’s okay to take care of your own mental well-being too.
