Living in a dorm

Embracing Campus Life: Is There an Age Limit for Dorm Living?

At 31 years old, I often find myself reflecting on the concept of living in a dormitory. While my initial experience in dorm life came directly out of high school — a brief, yet transformative endeavor — returning to such an environment as an adult feels somewhat out of place. Today, I navigated course selection, only to discover that my job, which runs from 7 AM to 4 PM, isn’t compatible with my class schedule.

This realization has prompted me to reconsider my priorities. As time has passed, the shift in focus has become clear: while work was once my top priority, I now feel a stronger commitment to completing my education.

This brings me to a thought-provoking question: what should be considered an appropriate age limit for living in dorms? Is there a point where maturity leads us away from communal living situations?

As I ponder this, I invite others to share their perspectives on the matter. After all, every student, regardless of age, brings unique experiences and insights to the campus community. Your thoughts?
