Facing Academic Challenges: Can I Pass My Summer Exams Despite Starting from Scratch?
As summer approaches, I find myself facing a daunting reality: my upcoming exams in August seem overwhelming, and I’m uncertain if I will succeed.
This year marks my second attempt at the same college year. Due to ongoing health and mental health struggles, I was unable to attend classes throughout the academic year. Fortunately, my college—located outside my hometown—offered me an opportunity to accelerate my studies through a summer course. The goal is to raise my cumulative GPA from 1.552 to at least 1.67 to meet the graduation criteria.
Currently, I need to complete nine credit hours across various subjects, most of which involve mathematics and computer science. With roughly 60 days remaining, I face the challenge of preparing for exams in disciplines I am unfamiliar with, and I honestly don’t have much experience with effective study habits. It’s a bit embarrassing to admit, but studying regularly has never been my strong suit.
Given this situation, I am wondering: is it realistically possible to prepare sufficiently within this time frame? How many subjects should I focus on, and what strategies would be most effective for someone starting from scratch? Most importantly, can I achieve this goal and pass my exams?
Any advice or insights from those who have faced similar challenges would be deeply appreciated.
