Understanding the Impact of Single-Gender Spaces on Gender Diversity Inclusion
As part of my final major project for Society and Culture in Year 12, I am exploring the growing division of homosocial environments and their influence on the inclusion of gender-diverse individuals. This research aims to shed light on how the increasing segregation in spaces like sports teams, youth organizations, and religious groups affects broader societal acceptance and participation of gender minorities.
I invite participation from people across all demographics to complete a brief survey—no personal information such as names or emails is required. The survey includes questions about gender identity, country of residence, and age group. My goal is to gather diverse perspectives, especially from those who have experience in single-gender settings such as sports clubs, scouting organizations, youth groups like YMCA, religious communities, and similar environments.
