Understanding the Impact of Single-Gender Environments on Gender Diversity and Inclusivity
In today’s society, the division of social spaces along gender lines is increasingly prevalent, prompting important discussions about how such environments influence the inclusion of gender-diverse individuals. As part of my Year 12 Society and Culture major project, I am exploring how the growing separation of homosocial (same-gender) spaces affects the representation and integration of people with diverse gender identities.
If you are interested in contributing to this research, I invite you to participate in a short survey. The questionnaire is anonymous—no personal identifiers like names or emails are collected. It does include questions about gender, country, and age group to better understand the demographic context of the responses.
I particularly encourage participation from individuals involved in single-gender groups such as sports teams, scouting organizations, religious or community groups, and youth organizations like Guides or YMCA. Many teenagers are part of these environments, and your insights could be invaluable to this study.
Your input is highly appreciated, especially from gender-diverse and transgender individuals, as I am still seeking a broader range of perspectives.
Additionally, I am more than willing to exchange surveys, offer guidance, or answer questions related to conducting research for high school projects on similar topics. I am passionate about this area of study and look forward to supporting others exploring related issues.
Thank you in advance for your contribution and support in fostering understanding around gender diversity and inclusive social spaces.
